If a person does not renew their license each year, what they have to do to get it back depends on how long it has been since they were last registered.

People in this situation need to contact the USSF Referee Registration Manager by sending an e-mail to smurry@ussoccer.org and asking what their status is. They may be told to just complete a registration form and send it in with their $25 license fee, they may be told to take the Law 12 portion of the course & retake the test (date & time above), or they may be told that they are no longer in the USSF database, in which case they must retake the entire 18 hr course + the test.
