Infertility Efficiency Systems (IES), LLC, a California
based company, was founded in August of 2005. The IES-Templates© were developed
by owner/creator and user, Lita M. Worthington, RNC RNP, OB-GYN, REIN Nurse
Practitioner with over 17 years experience in the field.
The inspiration for the design of the IES-Templates© came in
1998 with the conversion from paper charting to electronic medical records (EMR).
The EMR system did not include any organization for Infertility documentation, GYN
procedures or consent forms, thus the opportunity presented itself to design
Infertility specific templates with some GYN capabilites.
The transition to EMR charting and use of the newly
developed Infertility templates not only eliminated paperwork, but consistently
provided a complete organizational tool for Infertility charting. The use of the
templates generated efficiency, thoroughness, and expediency in all areas of
patient documentation. The outline included for structuring the Infertility work
up, generated revenue.
August of 2005 presented an opportunity to redesign the
Infertility templates as another EMR was encountered that lacked the
organizational charting for Infertility documentation. This allowed for the
establishment of a corporation, a copyright, and thus IES was born.
IES has developed its first partnership with an electronic
medical record system, PrognoCIS: a product by
BIZMATICS Inc. IES looks forward
to establishing many more partnerships.
